Basketball Recap: Peabody Falls Short of Archbishop Hannan in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Peabody couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 31-29 to the Archbishop Hannan Hawks, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Warhorses have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Peabody's loss dropped their record down to 27-6. As for Archbishop Hannan, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-7.

Peabody does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Archbishop Hannan, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Archbishop Hannan Hawks face off against Archbishop Shaw Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. They will need to watch out since Archbishop Shaw has now posted at least 55 points in their last 25 contests.
