Baseball Recap: Nativity BVM Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Nativity BVM can now relate to. They lost 10-4 to the Dock Mennonite Pioneers on Thursday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Green Wave, who until this matchup were averaging 3.92 runs allowed.

NICK CLARKE was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Nativity BVM moved to 9-15 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Dock Mennonite, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Nativity BVM does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dock Mennonite, they will challenge Homer-Center on Monday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
