Softball Recap: Tinley Park Titans vs. Mother McAuley Mighty Macs
After flying high against Evergreen Park last Thursday, Tinley Park came back down to earth. The Tinley Park Titans fell just short of the Mother McAuley Mighty Macs by a score of 5-4 on Saturday.
Aubry Haack spent all 8.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.
On the hitting side, Megan Piotrowski was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-5 with a stolen base, two RBI, and a double. Another player making a difference was Natalie Gomez, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Tinley Park's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6. As for Mother McAuley, their win bumped their record up to 8-17.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Andrew the next time they take the field. Tinley Park will head out to face Andrew at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while Mother McAuley will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
