Baseball Recap: Del Rio Comes Up Short

Del Rio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 12-6 to the Laredo LBJ Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 last Tuesday.

Del Rio's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Laredo LBJ, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Del Rio will head out to challenge Alexander at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alexander's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Del Rio's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Laredo LBJ, they will venture away from home to square off against Medina Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Medina Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
