Basketball Recap: Standish-Sterling Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pinconning last Wednesday, Standish-Sterling came back down to earth. The Standish-Sterling Panthers came up short against the Gladwin Flying G on Friday, falling 58-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered against the Flying G's since January 20, 2015.

Standish-Sterling's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Gladwin, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.

Coming up, Standish-Sterling will square off against Shepherd at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Shepherd will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Standish-Sterling surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gladwin, they will face off against Clare at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
