Basketball Recap: Chapman Comes Up Short

Chapman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Clay Center Tigers 67-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Irish have suffered against the Tigers since March 3, 2021.

Chapman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Clay Center, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chapman will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Marysville at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Clay Center also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Wamego on January 7, 2025.
