Baseball Game Preview: Tyler Legacy Raiders vs. Rowlett Eagles

For the second straight game, Tyler Legacy will face off against Rowlett. The Raiders will square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Tyler Legacy 3.7, Rowlett 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Tyler Legacy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They beat Rowlett by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Raiders, who have now won five matchups in a row.

For Rowlett's part, they got a good showing from Landon Bertucci, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Bertucci has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Roger Funke was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Rowlett's loss dropped their record down to 19-8-1. As for Tyler Legacy, their victory bumped their record up to 16-12.
