Volleyball Recap: Bishop Miege's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bishop Miege can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Andale Indians on Friday. The Stags were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Liv Stevens paced Bishop Miege's offense, picking up ten kills. Stevens got some help from Maryn Dean and her 11 assists. Kaylee Ballard controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Andale can attribute much of their success to Mia Aouad, who had 12 assists and five digs.

The loss snapped Bishop Miege's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 9-27 record. As for Andale, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 32-1.

Bishop Miege didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Rock Creek on the 31st. As for Andale, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Paola on the 31st.
