Baseball Recap: Mountain View Wins High-Profile Game Against Eagle

Mountain View faced Eagle in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Mavericks walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Mustangs. The win was nothing new for the Mavericks as they're now sitting on three straight.

Seth Hecox was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Schneidt, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Mountain View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Mountain View's record now sits at 16-8. As for Eagle, they dropped their record down to 13-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
