Box Elder is 1-9 against Bear River since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bees will host the Bears at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Box Elder 2.2, Bear River 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Box Elder is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Clearfield, who was ranked 25th at the time (Box Elder was ranked fifth). The Bees walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Falcons on Tuesday. The Bees haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Kennadie Blackmer made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
In other pitching news, Lucy Braegger looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, Izibel Mason was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, Bear River got the win against Stansbury on Friday by a conclusive 12-2. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.
Like Box Elder, Bear River also got a great game from a two-way player: Brielle Gardiner. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Gardiner was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alice Roche, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Paycie Richards, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Bear River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stansbury only posted an OBP of .391.
Bear River's victory bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Box Elder, their win bumped their record up to 20-3.
