Softball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for North Scott

North Scott had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Urbandale J-Hawks.

North Scott's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Urbandale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

North Scott wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-2 defeat against A-D-M on the 13th. As for Urbandale, they will head out to face off against Ankeny Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the J-Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
