Baseball Recap: Halls' Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Halls waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the West Carroll War Eagles an 11-0 shutout. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by eight runs or more this season.

Sawyer Tetleton was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Langley, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Halls pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for West Carroll, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Halls has already played their next game (against Campbell County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. West Carroll will be paying especially close attention to the Tigers' match: after the Tigers faces off against the Cougars, they'll take on West Carroll again at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
