Soccer Recap: Escondido Triumphs

After losing to Vista the last time they met, Escondido decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Escondido Cougars narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Vista Panthers 2-1. The Cougars wouldn't have won without Gilbert Pina, who scored the game-winner.

The win made it two in a row for Escondido and bumps their season record up to 6-1-1. As for Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2-2.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Escondido face off against the Escondido Charter at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Vista, they will head out on the road to square off against Mission Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
