Basketball Recap: Leander Comes Up Short

Leander lost against Liberty Hill back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Leander Lions took a blow against the Liberty Hill Panthers, falling 63-28. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 549th, while the Panthers are ranked sixth).

Leander has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 17 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season. As for Liberty Hill, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 27-2.

Leander will take on Hays at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Liberty Hill, they will be playing at home against Rouse at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
