Soccer Game Preview: Sultana vs. Hesperia

The Sultana Sultans will square off against the Hesperia Scorpions at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Sultana is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.

Sultana's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Serrano 4-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Sultans considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

They hit Serrano with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Andrew Loza (2), Hayden Millard, and Jared Hernandez.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Hesperia's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Apple Valley on Thursday.

Sultana has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six matchups. As for Hesperia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8-4 record this season.

Sultana skirted past Hesperia 1-0 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Will Sultana repeat their success, or does Hesperia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
