Basketball Game Preview: Haven Wildcats vs. Smoky Valley Vikings

The Haven Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Smoky Valley Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Haven's defense has only allowed 28.9 points per game this season, so Smoky Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Haven is headed into Friday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-35 heartbreaker at the hands of Pratt. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since January 11, 2024.

Meanwhile, Smoky Valley strolled past Hoisington with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 41-27.

Haven's loss dropped their record down to 9-4-1. As for Smoky Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.
