Softball Game Preview: Riverheads Gladiators vs. Buffalo Gap Bison

The Riverheads Gladiators will challenge the Buffalo Gap Bison at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Riverheads barely beat Waynesboro the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Gladiators blew past the Little Giants 8-1 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Gladiators in their matchups with the Little Giants: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Buffalo Gap posted their closest victory since April 15th on May 9th. They skirted past Wilson Memorial 5-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bison.

Riverheads pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Buffalo Gap, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.
