Softball Recap: Lake City Trojans vs. Pine River Area Bucks
Lake City had lost 13 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 5-18 to make it 14. They came up short against the Pine River Area Bucks, falling 10-0. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 11-3 to the Bucks when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Pine River Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season. The result was nothing new for Pine River Area, who have now won 16 games by seven runs or more so far this season.
For Pine River Area's part, Kylee Mumby was a major factor while hitting and pitching.
