Basketball Recap: Southern Boone Takes a Loss

Southern Boone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kirksville Tigers. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly three points.

Southern Boone's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Kirksville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Boone will challenge Osage at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Osage will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Southern Boone surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kirksville, they will head out to challenge Moberly at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
