It was a good run, but Scottsdale Preparatory Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Fountain Hills Falcons. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Falcons when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 19-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Scottsdale Preparatory Academy still got an impressive performance from Brielle Amarel, who had 12 digs and two assists. Amarel has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Fountain Hills was led to victory by Lilly Miller and Nya Cederoth. Miller had nine digs and two aces, while Cederoth had 12 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Miller has posted over her last four matchups.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 22-11. As for Fountain Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-15 record this season.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Highland Prep West on the 30th. As for Fountain Hills, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Scottsdale Christian Academy on the 30th.
