Marshall County had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They walked away with a 40-27 win over the Calloway County Lakers. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 40-32 win last Wednesday.

Several Lakers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaidan Koch, who posted seven points in addition to six boards and three steals. Koch has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sayler Lowe, who had 11 points and six rebounds.

Marshall County's victory bumped their record up to 24-6. As for Calloway County, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-8.
