Recap: Neuqua Valley Wildcats vs. Loyola Academy Ramblers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Neuqua Valley Wildcats can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Loyola Academy on Saturday, falling 33-6. Neuqua Valley's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Loyola Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Fitzgerald out in front who rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 44 yards and a touchdown. Donovan Robinson also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Neuqua Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Loyola Academy, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0.
Neuqua Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Loyola Academy will take on Saint Ignatius College Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Saint Ignatius College Prep is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
