Baseball Recap: New Braunfels Comes Up Short

New Braunfels was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pieper Warriors. The Unicorns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

New Braunfels' loss dropped their record down to 16-14-1. As for Pieper, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11-1 record this season.

While New Braunfels had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
