Softball Recap: Dayton Comes Up Short

Dayton's last matchup with Churchill County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Dust Devils lost 11-1 to the Greenwave. The Dust Devils have struggled against the Greenwave recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Dayton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macie Hannum, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Dayton's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Churchill County, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7.

While Dayton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
