Baseball Recap: West Haven Comes Up Short

West Haven came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-1 to the Trumbull Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

West Haven saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Price, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. Connor Hume also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

West Haven's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Trumbull, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Trumbull will take on McMahon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Haven will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' matchup: after the Eagles face off against Notre Dame Prep, they'll take on West Haven again at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
