It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Auburn had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the George Wythe Maroons, sneaking past 4-2. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

McKenzie Booth spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hope Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Auburn hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as George Wythe struck out 13 times.

Auburn's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.4 runs. As for George Wythe, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.

As of now, neither Auburn nor the Maroons have any future games scheduled.
