Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Shakopee couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell to the Wayzata Trojans 59-55. The Sabers' defeat signaled the end of their 17-game winning streak.

Shakopee's loss dropped their record down to 24-7. As for Wayzata, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 27-4.

Shakopee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wayzata, they will head out to face off against Cretin-Derham Hall at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cretin-Derham Hall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 29 games -- so hopefully Wayzata likes a good challenge.
