Desert View strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 35-14 margin over the Sunnyside Blue Devils. Give the Jaguars' offense some serious credit: that high-scoring performance was actually the fewest points they've scored all season.

Desert View got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaylee Abraham out in front who rushed for 68 yards and four touchdowns. Another signal caller making a difference was Ryan Vasavilbaso, who threw for 238 yards and one TD while completing 72.7% of his passes.

Another reason for the win was Desert View's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Junior Garnett was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Desert View's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Sunnyside, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 4-2.
