Soccer Recap: Oakdale Starts Season with Win Against Jefferson

Oakdale had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the Jefferson Cougars a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Jefferson now has a losing record of 3-4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakdale will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Linganore at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Jefferson, they will square off against Hedgesville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
