Volleyball Game Preview: High Plains Storm vs. Shelby-Rising City Huskies

The High Plains Storm will take on the Shelby-Rising City Huskies at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday.

High Plains will head out to face Shelby-Rising City after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. The Storm fell just short of Bruning-Davenport/Shickley by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, High Plains sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-19, 24-26, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Shelby-Rising City came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Monarchs by a score of 3-1.

Shelby-Rising City had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-19, 25-23, 25-22.

High Plains' loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Shelby-Rising City, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.

High Plains came up short against Shelby-Rising City in their previous matchup back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Storm avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
