Jorge Sanchez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 18 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Those 18 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for East Chicago Central: the team is 8-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-11 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Victor Rivera, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Christian Rios, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
