Vicente Cortez Game Report: @ Downey + How To Watch

A big congratulations to Vicente Cortez, who rushed for at least 100 rushing yards for the first time in his career. He rushed for 109 yards and three TDs as Merced took down Downey 41-39. Our internal rating system judged Friday's effort as the best he's ever given (but hopefully not for long).

Cortez and Merced will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Madera at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. The Bears have been dominating at home and they will enter the contest having won seven straight home games dating back to last season.
