Volleyball Recap: Warrensburg Burgers vs. Argyle Scots
Warrensburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Argyle Scots by a score of 3-2. While the Burgers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Scots 25-21 in the first set.
Warrensburg took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-17, 18-25, 25-19, 15-8.
Emma Belanger paced Warrensburg's offense, picking up eight kills. Belanger got some help from
Kate Sesselman and her 12 assists. Finally,
Chloe Baker kept Warrensburg's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.
Warrensburg's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-8. As for Argyle, the victory got them back to even at 8-8-1.
Warrensburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Fort Edward on the 25th. Argyle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
