Morris kept a clean sheet against LaSalle-Peru on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cavaliers. Given Morris' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 86th, while LaSalle-Peru are ranked 228th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Madelynn Zamora and Kenzie Ahearn scored both of Morris' goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Morris has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-1-1 record this season. As for LaSalle-Peru, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Morris will challenge rival Ottawa at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, LaSalle-Peru is set to take on their familiar foe Sycamore at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
