River Ridge skates past Oakville with ease

Recap: River Ridge Hawks vs. Oakville Acorns
The River Ridge Hawks can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They really took it to Oakville for the full four quarters, racking up a 90-51 victory at home. The victory was just what River Ridge needed coming off of a 67-39 loss in their prior match.
River Ridge found their leader in underclassman Dominique Harper, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ethan Thomas, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
River Ridge's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Oakville, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4.
River Ridge will be playing at home against Central Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oakville, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mary M. Knight at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Mary M. Knight is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
