Baseball Recap: Mexico Extends Winning Streak to Five

Mexico lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Fatima, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Comets on Saturday. Considering the Bulldogs have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Kaden Benne, who gave up just three hits to keep Fatima off the board.

At the plate, Jaydon Eldridge was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Fox, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Mexico, bringing their record up to 20-11. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Fatima, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-13.

Mexico wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Marshall on the 12th. As for Fatima, they will square off against Rock Bridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
