Volleyball Recap: Phillipsburg Comes Up Short

Phillipsburg lost against St. John back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-16.

Ryleigh Seems paced Phillipsburg's offense, picking up four kills. Seems got some help from Ana Schemper and her seven assists.

Phillipsburg's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-7. As for St. John, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10-1 record this season.

Phillipsburg has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Smith Center on the 27th. As for St. John, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Hoisington on the 27th.
