Volleyball Recap: Argenta-Oreana's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

It was a good run, but Argenta-Oreana unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Monday. They fell 2-0 to the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on September 13th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-18.

Talyn Tipsword paced Argenta-Oreana's offense, picking up four kills. Tipsword got some help from Allison Havener and her five assists. Finally, Addy Maiden kept Argenta-Oreana's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Argenta-Oreana's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Maroa-Forsyth, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

Argenta-Oreana didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Sullivan on the 30th. As for Maroa-Forsyth, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Athens on the 30th.
