Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oakley). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks 72-24. With that victory, the Plainsmen brought their scoring average up to 51.5 points per game.

Leading Oakley to victory were Carsen Beal and Manuel Mancia. Beal posted eight points in addition to eight assists and five boards, while Mancia scored 15 points. The dominant performance also gave Beal a new career-high in steals (four). Another player making a difference was Jonah Kuhlman, who had eight points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Oakley was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Oakley's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-8. As for Wheatland-Grinnell, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Oakley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-38 loss against Hill City on the 31st. As for Wheatland-Grinnell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-48 defeat against Ness City on the 31st.
