The North Creek Jaguars are taking a road trip to square off against the Cedarcrest Red Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Creek is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
North Creek had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Newport - Bellevue on Monday. The Jaguars were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Knights. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Reagan Fleming spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, North Creek got a massive performance out of Emma Gochenour, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Gochenour has posted since back in April of 2024. Samantha Westling also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
North Creek hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newport - Bellevue struck out seven times.
Woodinville hit Cedarcrest with a seven-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Wolves came up short against the Falcons, falling 14-7.
Josie Fiala was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Olivia Lowell, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
North Creek's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cedarcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9-1.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. North Creek has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .492. However, it's not like Cedarcrest struggles in that department as they've averaged .448. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
North Creek took their win against Cedarcrest when the teams last played on April 2nd by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
