Football Preview: Penn Cambria Panthers vs. Bedford Bisons        
        
		
             The Penn Cambria Panthers will venture away from home to  challenge the Bedford Bisons  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated after  three-games, but that won't be the case come Friday.
 Penn Cambria gave up the first  points last Friday, but they didn't let that get them  down. They walked away with  a   30-22  victory over Forest Hills. Given the Panthers' advantage  in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings  (they are ranked 108th, while the Rangers are ranked 257th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Penn Cambria to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Gavin Harrold, who rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. Harrold also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making eight total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging   an  interception. Backing up that air attack was  Thomas Plunkett, who rushed for 93 yards and a  rushing touchdown.
 Penn Cambria's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB  four times.  Mason Mento was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sackshimself. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in  rushing yards.  Corbin Vinglish was another major factor on D,  picking up  a  sack, making 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defending a pass.
 Penn Cambria was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 321  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 200  rushing yards in three consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile,  it was close, but  on Friday Bedford sidestepped Central Cambria for  a  10-7 win.
  Quincy Swaim was the offensive standout of the  matchup as he rushed for 97 yards, and also threw for 113 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  forcing a fumble and making 12 total tackles.
 Bedford wouldn't let Central Cambria keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles.  Jacob Wilson led the group effort, picking up two of those  forced fumbles all by himself.  Treg Nave didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made 19 total tackles.
 Penn Cambria pushed their record up to 3-0 with that  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Bedford, their record is now 3-0.
 Friday's   match might be decided in the trenches. Penn Cambria has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 249.7  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bedford struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 213. It's looking like  Friday's  contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
 Penn Cambria skirted past Bedford  21-19 in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Penn Cambria since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
