Prairie league recap: 5/21/12

Duane Miller was the best pitcher in Prairie this week, leading Long Prairie-Grey Eagle. He picked up two wins and 15 strikeouts.

Austin Kaiser was on fire this week, as he led the league with a .364 average, two home runs and four RBIs. Meanwhile, the Thunder put together a 4-0 week.

Long Prairie-Grey Eagle's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 19 hits and five walks to lead the league in both categories. On the season, the Thunder have allowed just 81 hits, while striking out 129 batters. Miller leads the Thunder with 54 strikeouts in 43 innings pitched.

Long Prairie-Grey Eagle's Tyler Schultz led the league with seven hits this week. On the season, he's hitting .263 and ranks fourth in the league with 15 hits.

Austin Kaiser drove in four runners as Long Prairie-Grey Eagle defeated Browerville 2-1 on Friday.
