Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mountain Brook). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Moody Blue Devils a 14-0 shutout on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Mountain Brook pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Moody, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.

Looking ahead, Mountain Brook will challenge Cullman at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Moody, they will head out on the road to square off against Southside at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
