Football Recap: Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles vs. Howard Wildcats

Hodgson Vo-Tech unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Howard Wildcats on Thursday, falling 36-0. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Kevin Browning threw for 35 yards on five of 12 attempts.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Howard to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jameson Bryant, who threw for 271 yards and four TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes. Those four passing touchdowns gave Bryant a new career-high. Korey Manley also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Hodgson Vo-Tech and Howard will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on Delaware Military Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Howard, their break will end when they face McKean at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th.
