Recap: Dupree Tigers vs. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves
On Saturday, Dupree came up short against Cheyenne-Eagle Butte and fell 61-48. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Dupree has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cheyenne-Eagle Butte to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dayson Kennedy, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Elk nation, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Dupree now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Cheyenne-Eagle Butte, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Dupree will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Harding County at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Miller at 6:45 p.m. on December 21st. Miller will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Dakota Rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Cheyenne-Eagle Butte is ranked 34th).
