Wapakoneta has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Bellefontaine Chieftains at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Wapakoneta suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 50-27 walloping at the hands of Shawnee. Wapakoneta has struggled against Shawnee recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though Bellefontaine has not done well against Tecumseh recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Bellefontaine snuck past Tecumseh with a 44-39 victory. That's two games straight that Bellefontaine has won by exactly five points.
Bellefontaine relied on the efforts of Quinlan Zedeker, who scored 14 points along with three steals, and Lexi Robinson, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Tiffany Boop, who scored 12 points.
Wapakoneta has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Bellefontaine, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.
