Baseball Recap: Cleveland Takes a Loss

Cleveland's last matchup with Chisholm could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Thursday. The Tigers lost 11-3 to the Longhorns. The Tigers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Turner Moss made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Sullivan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Cleveland's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Chisholm, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-5.

Coming up, Cleveland will square off against Morrison at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season. As for Chisholm, they will be playing at home against Edmond North at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday. The last five games the Huskies have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
