Volleyball Recap: Fort Atkinson Comes Up Short

Fort Atkinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Mount Horeb Vikings. The Blackhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

While Fort Atkinson was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Harper Henderickson, who had six digs and two aces. Those six digs gave her a new career-high.

Fort Atkinson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Mount Horeb, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-5.

Fort Atkinson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on October 16. As for Mount Horeb, they will take on Arcadia in a tournament on Saturday.
