Softball Recap: Whitmer Takes a Loss

The Whitmer Panthers came up short against the Milan Big Reds on Tuesday and fell 7-3.

Ashley Rodriguez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. She also scored a run, marking her first of the season. Ryleigh Hannibal was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple.

Whitmer's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Milan, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Whitmer Panthers challenge Napoleon Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Whitmer is facing Napoleon at the right time seeing as Napoleon is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Milan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
