Garden City waltzed into their match  on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trenton Trojans, sneaking past  6-4. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by  exactly two  runs.
 Ethan Vanbelle made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-5 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ethan Armstrong, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in April. Garden City will  take on  Annapolis  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday with a big rank  advantage  (135 vs. 393). Meanwhile,  Trenton (ranked 28th) will meet Taylor (ranked 200th)  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
